Occasional notes on current events, books and more, by Kenneth Silber
There are certainly responsible environmental policies Republicans should support. (A ban on offshore drilling near populated areas is one obvious example; odd that that the Obama Admin announced its support for offshore drilling prior to the recent Gulf of Mexico fiasco.) But that doesn't mean one should lend credence to climate "science." A very large number of distinguished scientists (such as MIT's Richard Lindzen)have painstakenly exposed the fatuousness of modern global warming catastrophism. It is an ideological movement with a thin scientific veneer, and should be resisted, or denied, by thinking people.
